FindMyShelf Privacy Policy

1. Overview

FindMyShelf helps users find products in supermarkets by mapping aisles and matching product names using AI.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use your information for advertising or tracking purposes.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your contacts.
• We do not track your activity outside the app.
• We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
• We do not store location history.

3. Location Usage

Location access is optional and is used only to help you find nearby stores. Location data is used temporarily to perform searches and is not stored as history.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

4. User-Generated Content

If you choose to contribute, you may provide:

• Store names
• Aisle descriptions
• Product keywords
• Aisle sign photos for text extraction

This information becomes part of a shared community dataset inside the app.

5. Image Processing

When you upload an aisle sign photo, the image is processed only to extract text using AI.

Uploaded images are not stored. They are used solely for text recognition and are not retained after processing.

6. Authentication

If you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive a unique user identifier from the authentication provider. We do not receive your password.

Authentication is used only to enable content contribution and maintain data integrity.

7. Diagnostics

We may collect limited technical information such as crash logs, device type, and iOS version in order to improve app stability and performance.

8. Data Sharing

Store and aisle information contributed by users may be visible to other users as part of the shared database.

We do not sell personal information.
